ABOUT US

The key word here is merged. In the 1970's the parent branch was Branch 2812, made up of the Upper Darby, Havertown, Darby, Collingdale and Devon Post Offices.

Through the efforts of branch President Mario :Tabby: Taraborrelli and Director of Education John "Lew" Faber, merger talks began with the other area branches and as a result, through the years and three more Presidents, Neil McGlade, Don Coughlin, and James W. McCullough, our current President, what was Branch 2812 Upper Darby grew to become branch 725 SE PA MERGED.

The senior office in our branch is the West Chester Post Office, its original Charter dates back to January, 1900, and it is from this Charter we celebrate out first hundred years.

Our branch is now the fourth largest in Pennsylvania ( thanks to the vision of President Emeritus Don Coughlin ) and represents almost 1200 members from the following post offices: Ardmore-Jack Coyle, Bala Cynwyd-Michael Kerins, Broomall-Jim Dolan Jr., Bryn Mawr-Rick Murphy, Clifton Heights-Tim Grover, Coatesville-Donal Anderson, Darby-Carol Zukowski, Essington-Mike McDevitt, Folcroft-John Schneider, Folsom-Bill Morgan, Gladwyne-Rosalie Reeve, Glenolden-Paul Schmitt, Haverford-Eric K. Jackson, Havertown-Mike Perry, Kennett Square-Kevin Lomas, Linwood-Mike McKinney, Media-Matt Heavens, Media Annex-Gerrard Gallagher, Merion- ,Morton-Dave MacCrone, Narbeth-Eric Weibel, Newtown Square-Tom Moore, Norwood-Paul Marra, Oxford-Mike Homola, Prospect Park-Ed Haney, Ridley Park-Susan Ersek, Sharon Hill-Tom Halloran, Swarthmore-Jim Watson, Upper Darby-Karen McPoyle, Villanova-Dave Carfagno, Woodlyn-Jim Craig, Wayne-Frank Finnegan, West Chester-Karen Vitsorek, West Grove-Len Casenta.

As a result of our mergers with other branches, we have been able to maintain a full-time President and in conjunction with the NALC Business Agents, train over 13 advocates to aid in facilitating the grievance process in our branch and other branches as well.
