Congressional Candidate
Brian Lentz
Speaks At General Meeting

By Eric K. Jackson, Branch 725

Brian Lentz's congressional tour stopped at the NALC Branch 725 general meeting on February 3, 2010. President Jim McCullough has made it a practice to expose our branch to candidates who wish to talk with our members and answer frank questions. The among others who have graced us with their time has been Congressman Joe Sestak when he was running for his present seat.

Thanks to our excellent Congressional District Liason Bob Zigmont, Mr. Lentz entertained questions(quite in depth) from our membership. It as informative as you see on the Town Hall meetings on CNN.

Brian has served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. His assignments included Iraq, the Sinai Pennisula, and Bosnia. After serving as a prosecutor with the D.A.'s office in Phila. for six years, he was elected to the PA state legislature in 2006 defeating a 28 year Republican incumbant, and won a second term in 2008 representing the state's 161st district.

Now the opportunity has come to again serve his country. Bryan has chosen to seek office as the Democratic candidate for Congress from the 7th Congressional District in PA. He has been endorsed by the NALC in the primary and general elections.
