The Other Side Of Circulars

Since becoming a letter carrier, I always dreaded circular day until I was fortunate enough to meet Samuel Lastow and his mother Abby Potash.

Samuel was abducted at the age of ten years old from Hamburg in New Jersey by his father and taken t California. He was found in Alven Texas, eight and a half months later.

A letter carrier in Alven, Texas delivered the card with Samuel's picture. A customer recognized the picture and contacted the police. Samuel Lastow was the 99th child recovered with this program. They are currently up to 149 children recovered.

I have a new appreciation for delivering the circulars since I saw first hand that it does work.
