On Tuesday, August 18th, my husband and I were asked to travel to Ashburn Virginia to appear in a commercial for the NALC Health Plan.

At first thought, I was not that excited. My feelings were how come they picked us. Because I was sure there were a lot of other people they could have asked. But my husband explained that this was an honor, so off to Virginia we went.

When we got to the NALC Health Benefits Headquarters we met with the National Director Tim O'Malley. I was really impressed speaking with Mr. O'Malley. I learned that he started as a Carrier in Philadelphia and worked his way up the ladder. Since he was once one of us I feel he knows what our needs are and would fight harder to get what we want. The Health plan will only get better with someone like him. It has and I cannot wait to see the improvements the Health plan will make this year.

I was put at ease by the woman who did the video and told they will only pick out the better parts and cut through everything else. I just hope I gave them enough of the good stuff to work with. But I am really happy I was talked into going. I had a great time doing it.
