The key word here is merged. In the 1970's the parent branch was Branch 2812, made up of the Upper Darby, Havertown, Darby, Collingdale and Devon Post Offices.
Through the efforts of branch President Mario :Tabby: Taraborrelli and Director of Education John "Lew" Faber, merger talks began with the other area branches and as a result, through the years and three more Presidents, Neil McGlade, Don Coughlin, and James W. McCullough, our current President, what was Branch 2812 Upper Darby grew to become branch 725 SE PA MERGED.
The senior office in our branch is the West Chester Post Office, its original Charter dates back to January, 1900, and it is from this Charter we celebrate out first hundred years.
